On February 17, 2021, voting in the election of Beehive Board of Directors will open, and the candidates running to fill three available seats are:

Biographical Sketches
Brent Bean
Brent Bean and his wife Gaylynn, have lived in Rexburg for the past 23 years. Brent attended Ricks College prior to serving an LDS mission in Lisbon, Portugal. After his mission, he was recognized as the Outstanding Student from the College of Family Life at Utah State University. He later earned a master's degree in Organizational Communication from Idaho State University. After accepting a teaching position at Ricks College, he graduated with his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho in 2010. He studied Organizational Leadership and Development. Brent was recognized as the Outstanding Doctoral Candidate upon graduation.
Today Brent teaches communication at Brigham Young University-Idaho. He teaches courses in Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Conflict Management, and Analytical Thinking and Moral Decision Making. Brent has been on the Beehive Board of Directors for the past three years. Brent and Gaylynn are both active in different organizations in the community. They are the parents of four sons and one daughter. Brent believes his greatest accomplishment is being a caring and loving husband and father.
Darryl Foutz
Darryl and his wife, Nannette, have been married for 34 years with four children and four grandchildren. He grew up in a small farming community in northwestern New Mexico and moved his family to Rexburg 13 years ago. Since then, he has been an accounting professor at BYU – Idaho, as well as the department chair of accounting for the last five years. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, both from BYU. Nannette is a teacher in the Madison School District.
Darryl worked for the National Accounting firm KPMG in Phoenix, AZ. He then worked for large corporations in California as a controller and financial systems manager.
He has served on past volunteer boards including AYSO Region 39 Board for five years, and just completed serving on the Academic Advising Board of the University of Idaho Accounting Program.
With Darryl’s accounting background in business and higher education, he has a perspective that will benefit the Beehive members. He was a member of Beehive long before he was appointed to serve on the Board. He believes in the principle of credit unions, which is to provide non-profit financial opportunities to members with common interests. Darryl takes the responsibility of representing the members of Beehive Federal Credit Union very seriously and appreciates the opportunity he has had to serve them the past two years.
Beth Rigby Hendricks
Beth Rigby Hendricks is the daughter of Ray and Lola Rigby and was born and raised in Rexburg. She and her husband, Ted, have three sons and one granddaughter. Their oldest son is an Idaho Civil Deputy Attorney and city attorney, their middle son is a medical doctor practicing in Oklahoma, and their youngest son is currently in law school. Their sons and daughters-in-law all graduated from BYU-Idaho.
Beth graduated from Ricks College and BYU, where she was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. When Beth and Ted moved back to Rexburg, Beth completed her MBA at ISU, graduating with high honors and was nominated to Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, the highest scholastic honor a business student may attain.
She taught at BYU-Idaho for 28 years and received the Exemplary Faculty Award. She was an adviser to AAF (American Advertising Federation), where her students received regional and national awards. She also taught at CEI where she received the Post-Secondary Marketing New Teacher of the Year from the Idaho Division of Professional/Technical Educators and the Idaho Chapter Advisor of the Year from Delta Epsilon Chi.
In 2020, The Idaho Falls Advertising Federation awarded Beth the Mission Award for "Developing the industry's future leaders; offering engaging programs to encourage local association volunteer leadership; and, providing opportunities for professionals to build supportive relationships with others in the industry." Beth would like to continue contributing these same attributes toward not only assisting the BFCU organization but also its members by helping them understand fiscal and monetary policies.
